This HobbyBoss 1:72 German Rail Transporter (82906) for Karl Gerat. In October 1939, work began on designs for loading the Gerat / Geraet 040 for rail transport. Due to the high weight and great length, it was necessary to transport this self-propelled gun supported by traversing pedestals mounted on two five-axle rail carriages. Supporting arms, attached to the Geraet 040, were lifted by massive hydraulic cylinders to suspend the self-propelled gun between the rail carriages.
